EPISODE 13: THE SKELETONS IN THE SHELL

Unmorphed Rangers at their hideout, the Loft. Coribun was playing a Game Boy Advanced. Isis asked, "Why do you think the Yóri mo takái sent Giselle to unleash those hellhounds on that poor defenseless town?" Kiro said, "I don't think they sent her." "It was to get me," Candace said. "Not everything is about you, Candace," Paige said. "Cut it out Paige," Coribun said while he was playing his Game Boy Advanced. Paige snipped, "Shut the fuck up." Kiro asked, "What the hell is your problem, Paige?" Isis added another question, "Yeah, always with the attitude?"

Paige pissed off , "Get off my case. I can't stand any of you." She stormed out of the room. The four left confused. It was silent in the room. Coribun asked, "You think it's that time of month?" Isis upset said, "Coribun!" Candace said, "It must be a personal matter we don't know of." Kiro said, "We better leave her alone…" They remained silent waiting for Kiro to say something. He said, "I know when I have a problem. I want to be left alone. It's better that way." "But it doesn't always help, Kiro," Candace said in a concerned manner. "It might get worse," Isis said. Paige reentered the room. "I can hear you through the wall. Shut up," Paige said. Candace and Isis crossed their arms. "The hell with it, I'll tell you," Paige said.

Paige rushing her hands through her hair crazily.
"Why did this happen?"
"Why am I so cold?"
"What did I do wrong?"
"Is it my fault?"

A few years ago…. Paige as a seven-year old playing in a yard with a ray gun against her puppy in an alien costume. Behind her is her father smoking and with a bottle of alcohol. "My mother worked a lot; my stepfather was drank a lot," Paige narrated. Paige's stepfather hunching down with his finger calling Paige. "He would call me…"

Paige began to burst into tears. She cried in a chair with her four team mates surrounding her. "It's good you telling us, let it out," Candace said. Isis asked, "Paige, did he?"

Again, Young Paige on the floor crying. "He did rape me. I was too scared to tell anyone. I tried to convince myself it was normal. That it was okay," Paige said.

A thirteen-year-old Paige and her mother arguing in the kitchen. "Eventually I told my mother but she did not believe me."

Teenage Paige walking the halls of a middle school with her arms around her books and acting extremely shy. "When I got older, school was harder to deal with. I was very insecure and didn't talk to anyone."

A sixteen-year-old Paige working on the computer. "I found a passion in computers and electronics. Something I was good at, something no one could bother with or judge me by. It was a way to release the rage."

Paige walking an empty side of a street while lots of people on the other side. "I still kept myself away from people."

Paige working at the Shuudan. "I later became the mecha head technical engineer at Shuudan."

Back to where we started at the Loft again. The five team mates in The Loft. "And you have kept cold this whole time," Candace said. "Yes, to protect myself," Paige said. Isis asked, "Protect yourself from what?" "The fears of everyone, being rejected, not accepted," Paige said. Candace, Isis and Coribun. "If you give us a chance, we won't reject you," Candace said. "We barely know you," Coribun said. "We want to get to know you," Isis said. Paige sobbed, the four looking at her. "I've been at a dark place before. I know how it can be," Kiro said. "I should face my mother," Paige said. Kiro sat next to Paige. "I'll go with you," Kiro said. "Thank you, I would like that," Paige said in a whimper. Isis, Candace and Coribun. "We'll stay here and take care the fort," Coribun said. "You take care Paige, good luck," Candace said.

Paige's mother's House. "I don't know. Maybe this was a bad idea," Paige said. Paige tries to open the gate door and is startled by a vicious dog. "Ah! Dog!," Paige shouted. "I've noticed," Kiro said. A forty-year-old Caucasian woman came from the house. She asked, "Who are you?" Side view of Mother (left side) and Kiro and Paige (right side) "Hi, Mom, its me, Paige. This is my… uh, friend, Kiro," Paige said. "Paige! Oh, my dear, how nice it is to see you again. A friend? Come on, he must be a boyfriend," the old lady said. Paige tried to explain, "No, a friend, believe me. I came to talk about… um-" The mother said, "He is in jail. I saw what you meant after you left to college. He mistreated me and he was awful, I was too afraid to contact you…" Paige hugged her mother. Kiro has a smirk on his face in the background. "It's okay. I forgive you," Paige said.
